SAN FRANCISCO (Diya TV) — Bikram Choudhury, the 72-year-old fitness guru who became famous and got rich by founding Bikram Yoga in the 1970s, is currently facing an assault of lawsuits from women alleging he sexually assaulted them.

A popular yogi and life guru for over 40 years, Choudhury has come under fire in recent years for both copyright issues and sexual harassment lawsuits. In January 2016, the Los Angeles Times reported that an LA jury awarded more than $6.4 million in the first of a series of lawsuits against the legendary yoga guru by his onetime legal advisor, Minakshi Jafa-Bodden.

“Lie. Lie. And lie,” Choudhury said of the allegations in an interview on HBO’s Real Sports this week. More than just his denial of the assaults, Choudhury went on to polarize his accusers in a tell-all tirade.

“I pick them from trash,” Choudhury said. “And give them life.”

Choudhury told Real Sports correspondent Andrea Kremer that four different women committed suicide because the guru refused to sleep with them. “If I need women, I can make a line. The most beautiful, famous, rich women in the world,” he said.

He goes on to explain, why he thinks, any claims that he would feel the need to harass any woman is preposterous.

“Right…Why would I have to harass women?” he said. “People spend $1 million for one drop of my sperm. I can make $1 million a day. Every drop.”
