At least 68 people were killed when an aircraft went down near the city of Pokhara in central Nepal, the country’s deadliest plane crash in more than 30 years. 72 people were on board. The crash remains under investigation and the government declared Monday a day of mourning for the victims.
Indian Americans make up just about one percent of the U.S. population, but pay six percent of its taxes. Georgia Congressman Rich McCormick said “they’re among the top producers, and they do not cause problems.“ He also said the process for immigration should be streamlined for those who go to the United States to obey the law and pay their taxes.
