SAN FRANCISCO (Diya TV) – Indian American Dr. Nirav Shah has been named Principal Deputy Director at the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention. Shah was instrumental in helping shape America’s response to Covid-19. Back in 2019, Shah was appointed to lead the state of Maine’s CDC to help rebuild the agency and infrastructure.
In Louisiana, police arrested 35 year old Joseph Lee Smith in connection to the death of five year old Mya Patel. Authorities say the young Indian American was struck by a stray bullet fired by Smith who got into a fight with another man at the Super 8 motel owned by Mya’s parents.
The Golden State Warriors made their return to the White House to celebrate last summer’s NBA Finals victory. They were greeted by President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. The Warriors refused to visit the White House to celebrate some of their other championships when President Trump was in office.
