WASHINGTON (Diya TV) — Veteran Indian American diplomat Atul Keshap has been appointed president of the U.S. India Business Council. Keshap most recently served in New Delhi and led the U.S. Embassy team. He has held a number of senior U.S. government positions and is a 28-year veteran of the U.S. State Department.

Indian startups raised about $39 billion in 2021 and the country now has 81 unicorns, those are companies worth a billion dollars or more. 44 unicorns joined the club this year. The sudden flow of cash has also created a crunch for talent in the market.

Indian American entrepreneurs Sriram Krishnan and Aarthi Ramamurthy have signed with talent agency WME to work on film, television, publishing, and podcasting projects.
The couple gained popularity over the pandemic as the hosts of the Clubhouse audio series “The Good Time Show” — where moguls like Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg are known to drop in for chats.
