CHANDIGARH (Diya TV) — Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was trapped for 20 minutes by protesters in Punjab in what is being reported as a serious security lapse. Modi was on his way to a memorial in the northern state when the route was blocked by protesting farmers.
They were demanding the resignation of a cabinet minister whose son has been accused over the deaths of farmers. The home ministry said the prime minister’s convoy returned to the airport due to the security lapse.
Fort Bend County judge KP George announced he’s running for re-election. He’s arguably one of the most powerful Indian Americans in U.S. government and certainly in Texas. George says he’s running again because he believes in it’s people. This past December, he also tested positive for Covid-19 even though he was vaccinated but has since recovered.
The head of Elon Musk’s Starlink India operations, announced he is quitting. Sanjay Bhargava, suddenly resigned weeks after the government announced Starlink Internet Services is not licensed to offer satellite-based internet services in India.
