ODISHA, India (Diya TV) — Cyclone Fani hit India’s eastern coast, a weather event severe enough that it led the Indian government to evacuate more than 1 million people living in and around the state of Odisha. Airports along that coast shut down. More than 100 million people are in the path of the storm.

Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj spoke with U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and asked for a waiver so India can continue to import Iranian oil. U.S. says they will apply sanctions to those who buy Iranian crude.
