SAN FRANCISCO, (Diya TV) — Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Masood Azhar, who is believed to be the mastermind behind the Pulwama attack, is now being classified by the United Nations Security Council as a global terrorist.
It’s a big victory for India diplomatically, as they received support from the U.S., U.K. & France in this effort that took a decade to achieve. Pakistan, where Azhar lives, announced they will comply with the decision that will lead to travel restrictions & the freezing of his assets.
A homicide investigation is underway in West Chester, Ohio after the bodies of four members of a Sikh family were found dead from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victims were 59 year old Hakiakat Singh Pannag, 62 year old Parmjit Kaur, 58 year old Amarjit Kaur and 39 year old Shalinderjit Kaur. A motive behind the killings is still unclear. Investigators have yet to reveal suspect information.
Donations in excess of $400,000 are headed to 13 year old Indian American teenager Dhriti Narayan of Sunnyvale, California to support her recovery after being hit by a car while walking with her family and other pedestrians. Dhriti is now on life support. Police say the suspect, 34 year old Isaiah Peoples, ran his car into the group deliberately. Peoples is being charged with eight counts of attempted murder. A hate crime investigation by the FBI is also underway.
And the Houston community outdid themselves, celebrating Pratham’s 20th anniversary by raising a record $4.5 million for education programs in India.
