WASHINGTON D.C. (Diya TV) – Vice President Kamala Harris was involved in a minor car accident last week, an event initially described as a “mechanical failure,” according to multiple reports. A Secret Service agent driving the Indian American VP in an SUV, struck a curb near Foggy Bottom in Washington, D.C. Harris was moved to another vehicle and the motorcade continued to its destination which is important, because security experts say she could have been a sitting target. There were no injuries.
The South Asian Bar Association in Chicago is congratulating judge Rena Marie Van Tine for her new appointment as Acting presiding judge of the county division of the circuit court of Cook County. She became the first female Indian American judge in the nation more than 20 years ago.
