WASHINGTON (Diya TV) — President Donald Trump praised Micron Technology for plans to invest $10 billion in a new U.S. research institution focused on memory technology and advanced computing.

Trump highlighted the investment in a post on Truth Social. He said the move would help the United States remain a global leader in artificial intelligence and advanced computing.

“GREAT NEWS!” Trump wrote. He called Micron one of the “HOTTEST” companies in the world. He also praised Micron CEO Sanjay Mehrotra, calling him “fantastic.”

Trump said the new investment would support research and create jobs across the country. He also pointed to Micron’s earlier investment commitments in the United States.

The president described Micron’s previous commitment as a “TREMENDOUS 250 BILLION DOLLAR commitment.” He said the combined investments could create more than tens of thousands of American jobs.

Trump also credited his administration’s economic policies for encouraging companies to invest in the United States. He said the country was bringing critical technologies back to American soil.

Micron announced plans to invest $10 billion over the next decade in Micron Research Labs. The research center will focus on major challenges facing the memory chip supply chain.

The company said the new research institution will bring together customers, universities, government agencies and other parts of the semiconductor industry. Together, these groups will work on new technologies and research projects.

Micron Research Labs will focus on several key areas. These include memory technology, advanced computing systems, chip packaging and future semiconductor manufacturing.

The company plans to build the flagship campus in Boise, Idaho.

Micron said the center will serve as the first dedicated memory research hub of its kind in the United States. The company expects the facility to strengthen its research efforts while supporting the broader U.S. semiconductor industry.

Micron has made several major U.S. investment commitments in recent years. The company has focused on expanding its domestic manufacturing and technology operations.
