SAN FRANCISCO (Diya TV) — Fifty of the world’s top chief executives will engage with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley during the upcoming Gujarat Global Summit.

The meetings will be held as part of the summit’s “Global CEO Roundtable” segment, when it begins on Jan. 10.

Of the CEOs that will be on hand, 25 come from the host country. The rest come from nations such as the U.S., Japan, France, United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Taiwan. While the final list is yet to be confirmed, some global industry leaders have already submitted their RSVPs, summit organizers said Monday.

Boeing International president Bertrand-Marc Allen and chief executive of French electricity giant EDF, Jean-Bernard Levy, are scheduled to attend the event.

“The discussions during the roundtable would largely revolve around global as well as Indian investment climate and opportunities. We believe that the discussions and its outcome will be crucial in the wake of upcoming GST implementation in India and ongoing business scenario after demonetization,” organizers said.

The summit will focus more on the facilitation of more business-to-business meetings, organizers added.

“On the second day of Vibrant Summit, we have planned to organise maximum numbers of B2B meetings. Our focus is to see that real work takes place. This time, we have also planned to set up facilitation desks of various government departments to provide quick guidance to the guests.”
