HARROW, England (Diya TV) — Three young Hindu men were brutally attacked in what police are treating as a racially motivated assault at Harrow Recreation Ground in northwest London. The unprovoked attack occurred on the evening of Friday, May 30, and left all three victims hospitalised with serious injuries.

Metropolitan Police confirmed they were called to the park at approximately 6:11 p.m. following reports of a violent altercation involving several individuals. Emergency responders from the London Ambulance Service also attended the scene.

Officers found three men—two aged 20 and one aged 21—injured at the location or later self-presenting at a hospital. One of the victims was taken to the hospital with a head injury, while the other two were admitted later that evening. Police said none of the injuries are considered life-threatening or life-changing.

The victims were reportedly approached by a group of men who questioned them about their religion shortly before the violence erupted. Family members say the suspects asked the men about their ethnicity and religion before launching what they described as a brutal assault. Speaking to Harrow Online, a relative of one of the victims said that two of the three young men were left unconscious during the incident, and all suffered serious injuries.

“This was a violent and unprovoked attack, and we’re urging anyone who may have seen anything, even something small, to come forward,” the relative said, urging the community to help police with the ongoing investigation.

Authorities have stated that the suspects are believed to be in their mid-to-late 20s, tall, with light brown skin. One of the attackers reportedly had long hair and a beard. Police have not made any arrests yet, but have confirmed that the case is being treated as a racially aggravated assault.

“We’re conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances of this incident,” a spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said. “We’re appealing to anyone who may have been in the area at the time, or who may have footage or information relevant to the attack, to come forward. The nature of this assault—and the apparent targeting of individuals based on their ethnicity—is deeply concerning.”

The attack took place at Harrow Recreation Ground, a public park often frequented by families and young people. Community leaders have expressed alarm over the incident and are calling for increased safety measures and community vigilance. While Harrow is known for its diverse and generally cohesive community, this incident has raised concerns about rising hate crimes across London.
