CHICAGO (Diya TV) – A Purdue University student, who was charged with murder after he stabbed his Indian American roommate to death in October, has been found unfit to stand trial. A judge appointed two doctors to treat Jin min Sha until he understands the charges against him. Authorities say Sha attacked Varun Chheda with a knife inside their dormitory.
The U.S. says China’s recent unprovoked attack on India along the shared border shows it must continue to strengthen and enhance ties with India and its allies in the region. The scuffle led to a few minor injuries but nothing fatal.
Federal regulators fined Wells Fargo a record $1.7 billion dollars for “widespread mismanagement” over multiple years that harmed over 16 million consumers. Allegations of “illegal activity” include misapplying loan payments, wrongfully foreclosing on homes, illegally repossessing vehicles, incorrectly assessing fees and interest and charging surprise overdraft fees.
