WASHINGTON DC (Diya TV) — U.S. President Joe Biden says Russian President Vladimir Putin chose this war. Biden unveiled harsh new sanctions on Russia meant to punish the country for its full-scale invasion of Ukraine. From the U.S. to Western Europe and Japan, South Korea and Australia, countries lined up to denounce the Kremlin as the outbreak of fighting raised fears about the shape of Europe to come and sent stocks tumbling and oil prices surging on fears of higher costs for food and fuel.
Amid the Ukraine tensions, Pakistan’s prime minister Imran Khan will meet with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin this week for a two day official visit. Pakistani officials say they enjoy friendly relations with Russia marked by mutual respect, trust and convergence of views on a range of international and regional issues.
22-year-old University of Texas student Jaskaran Singh, is the ‘Jeopardy’ national college champion. The Indian American college senior identifies as Sikh and beat out more than 30 other contestants.
