FREMONT (Diya TV) — Justice for Indian American chef Dominic Sarkar, brutally murdered in his sleep by a woman he involved with and her lover. A jury found Maria Moore and Marvel Salvant guilty in this murder for hire plot. Prosecutors say they did it for Sarkar’s life insurance money.
Raaheela Ahmed is running for a Maryland State Senate seat. Ahmed is the daughter of an Indian father and Pakistani mother. The Democrat says she will vow to fight for universal healthcare and immigration reform. Ahmed announced she plans to quit the Prince George’s County Board of Education as she pursues this next step in her political career.
Cal State University Chancellor Joseph Castro has resigned amid a series of allegations that he mishandled years of sexual harassment, bullying, and retaliation complaints against one of the school’s senior administrators while Castro was president at CSU Fresno. The university system has also been under scrutiny for adding caste to its anti-discrimination policy, enraging Indian American and Hindu students and faculty who believe they are being unjustly targeted.
