CLAYTON, Mo. (Diya TV) — Ann Altman, whose brother is CEO of San Francisco-based OpenAI Sam Altman, filed suit Monday in Missouri federal court claiming years of childhood sexual abuse inflicted by her brother. The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, claims the abuse started in 1997 at the siblings’ home when Ann was three years old and Sam was 12.

The suit is filed for damages over $75,000 and demands a jury trial to hear the case. Ann Altman alleges that the abuse continued for nine years, which makes her claims central to the lawsuit.

Sam Altman, a leading figure in the tech world who has been at the helm of OpenAI, has denied the allegations outright. He posted on X that the claims are “utterly untrue” and further stated that his family also denies the accusations.

“These allegations are completely false,” Altman said in his post, reiterating his stance against the claims.
