CINCINNATI, OH (Diya TV) — Ohio State Senator Niraj Antani (R-6) declared he has amassed $612,348 in just 38 days for his congressional campaign. This encompasses the entirety of his 4th quarter campaign finance filings, commencing from the official announcement on November 14th through the closure of the 4th quarter on December 31. The sum includes no contributions from the general election fund, nor does it involve any self-funding.

Antani said in a statement, “I am deeply grateful to my supporters. I have fought for the American Dream every day in the Ohio legislature, and I’ll do the same in Congress.”

The stakes in Ohio’s 2nd Congressional District have been elevated since Congressman Brad Wenstrup’s retirement announcement on November 8, 2023. Spanning 16 counties across approximately 150 miles in southern Ohio, the district leans significantly Republican according to its partisan voter index. The Republican primary is scheduled for March 19, 2024.

If successful in his congressional bid, Antani would be the 1st Republican Hindu Member of Congress in American history.

Antani is currently serving his first term in the Ohio Senate, having previously held three terms as a State Representative in the Ohio House of Representatives.
