NEW DELHI (Diya TV) — Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has signed up for Truth Social, the social media site created by President Donald Trump. In his first post, Modi said he was looking forward to interacting with the users of the platform, saying, “Delighted to be on Truth Social! Looking forward to interacting with all the passionate voices here and engaging in meaningful conversations in the times to come.“
Soon after Modi’s entry, Trump posted a link to Modi’s recent podcast interview with Lex Fridman on Truth Social. Modi replied saying, “Thank you, my friend, President Trump. I’ve discussed a variety of subjects, including my life story, India’s civilizational perspective, international issues, and more.”
Throughout the podcast, Modi talked about his chemistry with Trump, pointing to their mutual commitment to national interests. He compared Trump’s “America First” to his own “India First” strategy, stressing a common devotion to their nations.
Modi also shared their combined presence at the “Howdy Modi” rally in Houston in 2019. He said that after making their speeches, Trump agreed to Modi’s impromptu suggestion to take a lap around the stadium and meet people, despite tight security arrangements. “Without even a moment’s hesitation, he agreed and began walking with me,” Modi remembered.
Reminiscing about his initial White House visit, Modi recalled that Trump personally took him on a spontaneous tour, evidencing his high regard for US history. “He pointed things out himself. This is where Abraham Lincoln lived,” Modi stressed.
Modi also praised Trump’s readiness for his second term, noting that he appears “far more prepared than before” with a “clear roadmap” and “well-defined steps” to accomplish his objectives.
