CHENNAI, India (Diya TV) — Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping met in Chennai and spent time visiting historic sites in South India, leaning on their personal relationship to improve relations between these superpowers. Talks centered on trade and terrorism, as both nations deal with trade challenges emanating from the United States and ongoing border challenges.
Texas Senator Ted Cruz is in India as part of an extended trip to Asia, meeting with business leaders to discuss energy, data and defense issues. Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and U.S Ambassador to India Ken Juster were also on hand to meet with Cruz, who spoke at the ‘Howdy Modi’ event in Houston last month and said on stage America was proud to be India’s friend.
