WASHINGTON DC (Diya TV) — Kiran Ahuja will now be the new director of the Office of Personnel Management. The Senate confirmed the Indian American but Vice President Kamala Harris provided the tie breaking vote. Republicans were staunchly opposed to Ahuja’s nomination, citing her ties to critical race theory.
Health officials say more people need to get their vaccinations as soon as possible because the Covid-19 Delta variant will likely become more common in the U.S. This highly contagious strain is also what ravaged countries like India in recent months.
