WASHINGTON DC (Diya TV) — Indian American Natasha Sarin is taking on a leading role in cracking down on tax cheats at the U.S. Treasury.  The Biden Administration is counting on her to develop tax policy to pay for trillions of dollars in infrastructure, education, child care and other investments.  But her appointment is also raising questions about her ties to former Secretary of Treasury Lawrence Summers, who has become a vocal critic of the president’s spending plans, saying it will lead to inflation.

Neha Parikh is now CEO of mapping company Waze, which is part of Alphabet. Parikh was previously with online travel site Expedia and was also the youngest and first female president of Hotwire.

And Samrath Singh is believed to be the first turbaned Sikh athlete to play in a division one college baseball game.  The 20-year-old Indian American is a senior, pitching for Boston College.
