INDIANAPOLIS (Diya TV) — WISH TV hosted an emotional town hall to honor the 8 victims of the mass shooting at a Fed Ex facility in Indianapolis earlier this month. Four of the victims were Sikh Americans. Diya tv founder and ceo Ravi Kapur added perspective and context to this on going conversation, and spoke about the impact on the Sikh and broader Indian diaspora. A GoFundMe for some of the victims has already raised more than $60,000.
 
On Friday, India reported more than 300 thousand new cases of Covid-19,  the world’s highest single-day number since the pandemic began. 

India’s second wave, which began in mid-March, has devastated communities and hospitals across the country. Everything is in short supply including hospital beds, medicine, oxygen and ventilators

And A judge sentenced Bangladeshi immigrant Akayed Ullah to life in prison saying he plotted to carry out a “barbaric and heinous” plot to kill as many people as he could with a suicide bombing attack in New York City’s subway under Times Square in 2017.
