WASHINGTON DC (Diya TV) — Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that India and America were launching an energy and climate partnership focused on investments and new green technology. Modi along with US President Joe Biden are attending the Leaders Summit on Climate with dozens of other heads of state and government this week.
And President Biden is nominating three Indian Americans to Lead his Climate and Transportation agencies. The nominees include Meera Joshi at the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, along with Faisal Amin and Radhika Fox to serve at the Environmental Protection Agency.
In a bold move in it’s fight against terrorism, Sri Lanka is banning 11 Islamic organizations including Isis and Al-Qaeda for their alleged links to extremist activities in the country. Officials say the decision was made in good faith for the purpose of ensuring peace and for the sake of national security in the country.
