NEW DELHI (Diya TV) — Prime Minister Narendra Modi is launching the Indian Space Association. Modi laid out what he described as “four pillars” of space technology: freedom for innovation in private sector, a government which plays the role of enabler and not handler, preparing youngsters for future, and treating the space sector as a resource for the progress of the common man.

Indian startups have raised over $25 billion so far in 2021, nearly double that from two years ago. It’s being primarily by investment in tech startups and unicorn companies with at least a billion dollar valuation. Sequoia India, Tiger Global Management, and Accel India have been the most active investors

The man called the “father of Pakistan’s nuclear bomb”, Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan, has died at the age of 85 after being hospitalised with Covid-19. Dr Khan was hailed as a national hero for transforming his country into the world’s first Islamic nuclear power. But he was also notorious for having smuggled nuclear secrets to states including North Korea and Iran.
