NEW YORK (Diya TV) — Indian Ambassador Riva Ganguly Das inaugurated the festivities for the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin’s (AAPI) 35th annual convention, which will be held at Atlantic City’s Harrah’s Resort from June 21-25.

Das held the event at the Indian Consulate in New York City on Sunday, it was attended by AAPI leadership, including President Dr. Ajay Lodha, community leaders, and various members of the media.

This year’s convention, partnered with the Scientific Assembly, offers a venue to interact with leading physicians, health professionals, academicians, and scientists of Indian origin. Physicians and healthcare professionals across the United States will convene and participate in the scholarly exchange of medical advances, to develop health policy agendas, and to encourage legislative priorities in the coming year.

The convention is being organized by the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin’s New York chapter.

Expected to address the event are U.S. governors, Senators, Congressmen, prominent Indian politicians, senior world leaders, Nobel Laureates and various members from Hollywood and Bollywood. Convention leadership includes Drs. Ajay Lodha, Raj Bhayani, Rakesh Dua, Madhu Aggarwal, Aaditya Desai and Atul Nakhasi.
