SAN FRANCISCO (Diya TV) – “A new low even for Pakistan.” That’s what India is saying after Pakistan Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto personally attacked Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling him The Butcher of Gujarat. India’s Foreign Ministry went on to say that Bhutto’s “uncivilized outburst” seemed to be a result of Pakistan’s “increasing inability to use terrorists and their proxies.”

In New York City, a bust of Mahatma Gandhi was unveiled at the United Nations headquarters in Midtown Manhattan. The bust was created by renowned Indian sculptor Ram Sutar, a Padma Shree awardee who made the ‘Statue of Unity’ in Gujarat. It was unveiled during the visit of External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar to the UN.

Atlanta-based nonprofit Raksha held its annual event to support South Asian survivors of domestic violence.  The event not only celebrated and recognized Raksha’s important work but also focused on the importance of volunteers who serve.
