SAN FRANCISCO (Diya TV) – Former South Carolina Republican Governor Nikki Haley announced Tuesday in a video that she will run for president in 2024, becoming the first major rival to challenge former President Donald Trump for the GOP nomination. Haley was a U.N. Ambassador under Trump and is also the first Indian American to announce she’s running for the Oval Office.
Indian American entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy says he’s also planning to run for President of the United States as a Republican candidate. The 37 year old has made hundreds of millions of dollars and written a New York Times best seller focused on the anti-woke movement. Ramaswamy is also a regular contributor to conservative media like Fox News.
Indian American Arvind Raman was selected as the next dean of Purdue‘s College of Engineering. Raman is currently a professor at the school and is also an alum.
