SAN FRANCISCO (Diya TV) – In California, protesters flooded Fremont City Hall before the city hall considered and then passed a proclamation condemning Hinduphobia. Equality Labs, the chief advocates for a recently proposed caste discrimination bill in California, brought supporters of SB-403. While the Hindu American Foundation brought supporters of their own. This is the second Hinduphobia related proclamation this month. The State of Georgia also passed one. In response to the Fremont proclamation, socialist Seattle City Councilmember Kshama Sawant condemned the measure. Sawant helped to shepherd a bill that made Seattle the first U.S. city to pass a caste discrimination law.
