MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ (Diya TV) — Five men, including a New York man and four from Indiana, were charged Tuesday in the murder of Kuldeep Kumar whose body was found in a New Jersey wildlife area in October 2024.
Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer and New Jersey State Police Superintendent Colonel Patrick J. Callahan announced on January 3 that Sandeep Kumar, 34, from South Ozone Park, New York, was charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder. He is being detained at Ocean County Jail to await a detention hearing.
The case started when, on December 14, 2024, Kuldeep Kumar’s body was discovered by authorities in the Greenwood Wildlife Management Area in Manchester Township. An autopsy showed multiple gunshot wounds caused the death. The missing man, whose report was filed on October 26, was identified with the help of the FBI.
Four other men—23-year-old Sourav Kumar, 27-year-old Gaurav Singh, 30-year-old Nirmal Singh, and 22-year-old Gurdeep Singh, all of Greenwood, Indiana—were arrested between December 19 and 20, 2024. A joint team from Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, New Jersey State Police, FBI, and the City of Greenwood Police Department apprehended the suspects without incident. Those suspects are being held in Johnson County Jail in Indiana as extradition to New Jersey is processed.
There has been no clue about the motive behind the murder. Some reports suggest it to be connected to an international gang.
