NEW YORK (Diya TV) — FedEx President and CEO Raj Subramaniam received the Appeal of Conscience Award at the foundation’s 61st annual gala Wednesday at The Pierre Hotel in New York City.
The Appeal of Conscience Foundation recognized Subramaniam for his international leadership and his work connecting people through trade, innovation and service. Bank of America Chair and CEO Brian Moynihan chaired the event. The foundation also presented its founder, Rabbi Arthur Schneier, with a lifetime achievement award.
“Raj Subramaniam is being recognized for his international visionary leadership and steadfast commitment to connecting people worldwide through innovation and service,” Schneier said in a statement.
Subramaniam joined FedEx more than 30 years ago and became its CEO in 2022, succeeding founder Fred Smith. He previously served as president and chief operating officer and held other leadership roles across the company.
“I am honored to receive the Appeal of Conscience Award from Rabbi Schneier and the Appeal of Conscience Foundation,” Subramaniam said in a statement. He said FedEx’s global network helps connect businesses and communities through international trade.
Subramaniam received India’s Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award in 2023. The award recognizes members of the Indian diaspora for their achievements in India and abroad.
Schneier founded the Appeal of Conscience Foundation in 1965.
