WASHINGTON DC (Diya TV) — President Joe Biden is nominating Indian American doctor Rahul Gupta as the nation’s top anti-drug czar. Gupta served on the front lines of the nation’s opioid epidemic as West Virginia’s former health commissioner and, if confirmed, will be the first physician to lead the Office of National Drug Control Policy.
After facing a major constitutional crisis, Nepal’s Supreme Court reinstated its parliament and appointed Sher Bahadur Deuba Prime Minister. This is a major blow to acting Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli who tried to force a fresh election by dissolving parliament.
And India’s biggest tech IPO is on the horizon. Food delivery startup Zomato is looking to raise more than a billion dollars this week in an initial public offering. But analysts say these unicorn start-ups need to start showing consistent profits and healthy exits for investors.
