WASHINGTON DC (Diya TV) — Republicans are holding up a vote on Pakistani American Dilawar Syed’s nomination to serve as deputy administrator at the Small Business Administration. Critics say Syed is associated with a Muslim American advocacy group critical of Israel. But several Democrats and Jewish groups have come out to defend Syed saying there is no factual grounding in these accusations.
According to a new survey Covid-19 antibodies have been detected in 67% of India’s population showing how widely the virus spread through communities during the second wave. Health officials say only 13 percent of the country’s population is fully vaccinated. Experts are predicting a third wave will hit India within the next few months.
The Milwaukee Bucks are the new NBA Champions after defeating the Phoenix Suns four games to two. It’s the first championship for the team since 1971. Giannis Antekoumpo dominated and was crowned the MVP of the series.
