EDISON, New Jersey (Diya TV) — The Overseas Friends of BJP USA, known as OFBJP-USA, hosted a large victory celebration in Edison, New Jersey. They marked the Bharatiya Janata Party’s recent electoral successes in West Bengal, Assam, and Puducherry.

More than 600 members of the Indian American community attended the event at the Royal Albert Palace, according to organizers. The gathering brought together community leaders, BJP supporters, and volunteers from across the tri-state area.

The celebration took place under the guidance of OFBJP-USA president Adapa Prasad. Organizers described the event as a moment to recognize the BJP’s growing political reach and its recent gains in eastern and northeastern India.

Guests participated in speeches, political discussions, and cultural programs that highlighted the BJP’s election performance. Community leaders praised Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP leader Nitin Nabin for their roles in the party’s recent victories.

Organizers said the event reflected growing enthusiasm among Indian Americans who follow political developments in India. Many attendees discussed the BJP’s strategy, campaign outreach, and expansion into regions where the party previously had limited influence.

Vasudev Patel, the organization’s general secretary, credited BJP workers and volunteers for years of grassroots campaigning and voter outreach efforts. Patel said party workers remained committed during difficult political contests and helped build support across multiple regions. Organizers noted that volunteers played a key role in mobilizing voters and strengthening the BJP’s local networks.

Member of Parliament Mayank Nayak joined the event virtually. He praised the BJP leadership and thanked supporters for their continued engagement with Indian politics. Several Indian American community leaders also attended the celebration, including Sudhir Parikh, Krishna Reddy Anugula, Albert Jasani, and Mukund Thakar.

Organizers focused heavily on the BJP’s performance in West Bengal during the event. They described the results as a major political milestone for the party. West Bengal has historically remained dominated by regional political groups and Left parties. BJP supporters said the latest election results showed that the party had significantly expanded its political base in the state.

Speakers at the event said the BJP’s campaign efforts helped the party gain stronger visibility and voter support in areas where it once had limited influence. Organizers called the growth an important step in the BJP’s long-term political strategy.

The celebration also highlighted the National Democratic Alliance’s return to power in Assam under the leadership of Himanta Biswa Sarma. Organizers and attendees said the Assam victory strengthened the BJP’s political standing in northeastern India. Political observers have viewed the result as an important development for the NDA’s regional influence.

In Puducherry, the NDA alliance secured a majority in the Union Territory assembly elections. The alliance led by the All India N.R. Congress and the BJP formed the government after the election outcome. Supporters at the Edison event said the victories reflected voter confidence in the BJP-led alliance and its leadership.

Organizers said OFBJP-USA plans to continue community outreach efforts and support discussions related to Indian politics and public policy.
