WASHINGTON (Diya TV) — On the popular political podcast Pod Save America, co-host Jon Favreau disclosed internal polling conducted by President Biden projected a massive election victory for Donald Trump in 2024, in which he would win 400 electoral votes. Favreau, an Obama former speechwriter in the White House, attacked Biden’s move to seek re-election by calling it a “catastrophic mistake.” He argued that this inner circle of Biden did not address the concern about inflation and some economic issues which proved to be his downfall during the election. The said polls were apparently known beforehand but not widely discussed to be publicly known.
Favreau’s observations are consistent with internal discussions in the Democratic party following the defeat of Vice President Kamala Harris to Trump. Analysts have singled out for criticism Harris’s economic message as a weakness in her campaign. In an AP VoteCast study, which was released last week, voters who believed that the nation is moving in the wrong direction as regards household expenses voted for Trump overwhelmingly-thus furnishing clear evidence of economic dismay among the voting population.
The internal poll has now set off a controversy over the Democratic strategy going into the 2024 election.
