LOS ANGELES (Diya TV) – An Indian American man accused of killing three teenagers with his car has been found guilty of motor vehicular homicide. 45-year old Anurag Chandra says he chased the teens in his vehicle to express outrange and anger after one of them pulled down his pants during a prank. Three other teens survived. Chandra also admits to drinking 12 beers before the incident and could be sentenced to life in prison.
Kumar Barve is leaving his seat in the Maryland House of Delegates to join Governor Wes Moore’s administration as a member of the Maryland Public Service Commission. Barve was the nation’s first Indian American state legislator.
Simpsons voice actor Hank Azaria who is white, now says he regrets playing the role of Apu, an Indian American convenience store owner with a thick accent. A documentary by comedian Hari Kondabolu called “The Problem with Apu” called this out several years ago.
