WASHINGTON DC (Diya TV) — India is considering taking up a Russian offer to buy its crude oil and other commodities at discounted prices amid tough Western sanctions over it’s invasion of Ukraine. White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki is responding by asking, “Think about where you want to stand when the history books are written in this moment in time.” She went on to say that support for Russian leadership is support for an invasion that’s having a devastating impact.
A Baltimore judge has ordered new DNA testing in the case of Adnan Syed, whose murder conviction was the subject of the hugely popular “Serial Podcast.” Syed is serving life sentences after he was convicted of first-degree murder, robbery, kidnapping, and false imprisonment in February 2000 for the slaying of his ex-girlfriend, Hae Min Lee.
Tech startup Byju’s has raised $800 million in a fresh round of funding including BlackRock. Half of the round’s amount came from the company’s founder and CEO, Byju Raveendran, who made a personal investment worth $400 million in the company.
