KYIV (Diya TV) — India is temporarily relocating it’s embassy in Ukraine to Poland, as the Russian invasion continues. Indian officials call the fighting in Ukraine a rapidly deteriorating security situation and will be eventually be re-evaluated. The decision comes as Russian troops close in on key cities and towns including the capital of Kyiv.
President Joe Biden says he plans on nominating Indian American political activist Shefali Razdan Duggal as his envoy to the Netherlands. She is a former Presidential Appointee to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Council and continues to serve as a Western Regional Advisor.
Five Indian students were killed in a car accident in Canada after the passenger van they were traveling in collided with a tractor-trailer on an Ontario highway. The Indian embassy is trying to help the victim’s families at this time.
