WASHINGTON DC (Diya TV) — US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman will travel to India next month for a series of bilateral meetings including the India Ideas Summit.  This move comes days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s successful visit to America, which included time spent with President Joe Biden and his address to the United Nations General Assembly. Sherman will head to Islamabad thereafter.

More than 150 artifacts and antiquities were handed over by the United States during Prime Minister Modi’s visit to the country. Modi and President Joe Biden reaffirmed their efforts to combat the theft, illicit trade and trafficking of cultural objects. 

Reinforcements could be on the way to help  U.S. Marine Sukhbir Singh Toor who is fighting for religious freedom. 

The advocacy organization, Sikh Coalition might take up the case of the 1st Lieutenant who is an active duty officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. He’s seeking to serve with his Sikh articles of faith which includes his turban and beard. Toor was recently given some accommodation but considers it inadequate and has appealed.
