WASHINGTON D.C. (Diya TV) – Three US Senators introduced a bipartisan resolution reaffirming America’s recognition of Arunachal Pradesh as an integral part of India, condemning China’s recent military aggression to change the status quo along the Line of Actual Control. The resolution was introduced by Senators Jeff Markley and Bill Haggerty, and co-sponsored by Senator John Cornyn. They went on to say at a time when China continues to pose grave and gathering threats to the free and open Indo-Pacific, it was critical for the US to “stand shoulder-to-shoulder” with its partners in the region.

President Joe Biden made a surprise trip to Ukraine to show support, just days before the one year anniversary of the Russian invasion. But it drew a variety of attacks from congressional Republicans who criticized his trip and accused him of neglecting issues back home such as the train derailment and chemical leak this month that caused thousands of people to be evacuated from East Palestine, Ohio and the border crisis in Texas.

After 100 Years, historians are looking back at the life of Bhagat Singh Thind, a Sikh man who was denied U.S. citizenship even though as an Asian Indian, he would have been categorized as white, according to the racial science of the time. The U.S. continued denying Indians citizenship until 1965.
