SANTA CLARA, Calif. (Diya TV) — In a collaborative effort supported by various Hindu organizations in Silicon Valley, including Sewa International, FOG (Festival Of Globe), HAF(Hindu American Foundation), A4H(Americans 4 Hindus), HSS (Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh), and Shiv Durga Hindu Temple, the City of Santa Clara recently acknowledged the festival of Diwali. Working closely with the city, these organizations orchestrated a compelling presentation by young school going kids of the Hindu community.

On this occasion, Nilay Varshney, Lasya Pandravada, Swarada Ghawde, and Lavitr Dhir delivered an insightful presentation to the Mayor and Council of Santa Clara. The presentation, attended by over 50 city residents, provided a comprehensive understanding of the Who, Why, and How of Diwali festival. The Mayor and council members expressed their appreciation for the articulate presentation by these USA-born young Hindus, culminating in the issuance of a Proclamation to the Hindu community.

Satish Chandra Vale of A4H, Kaushal Varshney of HSS, and Neetu Garg of Shiv Durga Hindu Temple collaborated with the cultural commission to initiate the Proclamation process. Dr. Romesh Japra of FOG, a senior inspirational & respected leader in the Hindu community, played a pivotal role by following up with the Mayor to ensure the presentation and Proclamation took place. This selfless collaboration among members of the Hindu community left a profound impact on the future young Hindu leaders, inspiring them to continue making a positive difference in the Hindu community.
