WASHINGTON (Diya TV) – New House Speaker Mike Johnson has picked Republican operative Raj Shah to lead and manage his communication strategy.

As the deputy chief of staff for communications, Shah will spearhead messaging for House Republicans.

Shah brings a wide range of experience to his new position, having previously served as the Senior Vice President for Public Affairs at Fox Corporation, where he played a significant role in a lawsuit brought against Fox Corp by Dominion Voting Systems. The lawsuit resulted in a substantial $787 million settlement and exposed internal messages from Fox executives, implicating Shah and others. His involvement in this high-profile legal battle led to his departure from Fox Corporation.

Before his tenure at Fox, Shah served as a communications official in the Trump White House, conducting White House press briefings on occasion. He was also the Research Director at the Republican National Committee during the 2016 campaign.
