WASHINGTON (Diya TV) — Tech billionaires, CEOs, and foreign diplomats flocked to the inauguration of U.S. President Donald Trump on January 20, underlining the clout of business elites in the new administration. The inauguration was held at the U.S. Capitol, after a church service at St. John’s Church near the White House.

Among the many distinguished guests at this event are the likes of Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Mark Zuckerberg – their influence growing day by day in Trump’s inner circle. These tech titans, long critical of the current administration due to issues with antitrust actions and regulatory actions against them, graced this summit in high-profile spots on stage. Their participation seems to change the dynamics in the relationship between Silicon Valley and the White House.

Musk has become one of Trump’s loudest advocates, joining the newly established Department of Government Efficiency to help the administration give better advice on spending. Bezos attended the ceremony with his girlfriend Lauren Sanchez after touring Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate during the campaign. Both Amazon and the likes of Meta and Google contributed substantially to Trump’s inaugural fund.

The presence of these tech executives could influence Trump’s stance on issues like antitrust regulations. Experts speculate he may back off from policies aimed at breaking up companies like Google. TikTok’s CEO, Shou Chew, also made an appearance, despite ongoing legal challenges to his company’s operations in the U.S.

Trump’s inauguration again signaled a back to the ‘America First’ agenda since he would put an end, according to what he called the ‘weaponization of the Justice Department,’ and reaffirm national sovereignty plus economic revival in general.
