MIAMI (Diya TV) — The sudden death of Hyderabad-born software engineer Sree Veena Muddasani during a trip to Florida has shocked family members, friends, and the Indian American community in the United States.

Muddasani, 28, died in a swimming pool incident while attending a gathering at a friend’s home in Florida, according to reports and information shared by family friends. Authorities have not yet released detailed information about the circumstances surrounding the incident. Her death has sparked an outpouring of grief on social media, where friends and colleagues remembered her as a talented engineer and a kind-hearted person who built a successful career in the technology industry.

Muddasani was originally from Shivapuri Colony in Lingojiguda, Karmanghat, in Hyderabad. She moved to the United States after marrying Prashanth Reddy, a resident of Champapet, in June 2023.

Family friends said she traveled to Florida on May 7 to attend a gathering with friends. During the visit, she reportedly spent time with friends in a swimming pool, where the tragic incident occurred. The news of her death deeply affected relatives in Hyderabad and members of the Telugu community in the United States. Many described the loss as heartbreaking because of her young age and promising future.

Muddasani built a strong career in software development both in India and the United States. Publicly available professional records show she worked remotely from Virginia as a full-stack engineer at Markel beginning in December 2024. Before joining Markel, she held software development positions with M&T Bank in New York. She also worked in India with Quess Corp and BookMyShow.

Friends said Muddasani worked hard to establish herself in the competitive technology sector. They described her as ambitious, dedicated, and supportive toward those around her. Several former colleagues shared condolences online and praised her professionalism and positive attitude. Many said her sudden death left them devastated.
