SAN FRANCISCO (Diya TV) – A judge has ruled in favor of an elderly Sikh man, who accused a Northern California sheriff’s office of inadequately investigating racist threats against him two years ago. 66 year old Rouble Claire was accosted by a woman at a store who started shouting profanities and slurs at him.
Two Indian American Democrats are making some big moves. Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi was appointed to serve as Ranking Member on the House Select Committee on Strategic Competition Between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party. And Representative Ami Bera will now serve on the House Intelligence Committee.
Authorities are searching for 14 year old Indian girl Tanvi Marupally. She ran away fearing her father would lose her job during the recent wave of tech layoffs. Marupally’s father is not a permanent resident and is stuck in the green card back log facing other Indians who have come to America.
