SEATTLE (Diya TV) – Authorities say Indian American Seattle city councilmember Kshama Sawant is being targeted by a poop bandit, who’s been throwing human feces at her house. The self proclaimed socialist is now demanding 24/7 police patrols outside her home. But Sawant is being called a hypocrite for making this request because she also led the charge to defund the police. Investigators are still looking for a male suspect.
An Ohio newspaper is facing backlash for a political cartoon taking aim at Republican Senate candidate JD Vance at the expense of his Indian American wife. The Plain Dealer published a cartoon showing Vance and his Democratic opponent Tim Ryan. The air bubble above Vance says “Only Indians name change I support is my wife’s to ‘Senator J.D. Vance’s Spouse.” Some are accusing the paper of racism.
China is blocking a proposal by India and the US at the United Nations to list Lashkar-e-Taiba leader Shahid Mahmood as a global terrorist, the fourth instance in as many months that Beijing has prevented attempts to blacklist Pakistan-based terrorists at the world body.
