WASHINGTON (Diya TV) — Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) announced the creation of a congressional task force to declassify federal records on major historical events, such as the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and the Jeffrey Epstein case. The effort is designed to encourage transparency and give the American people long-sought answers.
Speaking at a press conference with House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), Luna reiterated the task force’s dedication to finding the truth. “This will be an unrelenting pursuit of truth and transparency, and we will not rest until the American people have the answers they deserve,” she said.
The task force’s agenda includes re-investigating the JFK assassination, with Luna questioning the lone gunman theory. “Based on what I’ve been seeing so far, the initial hearing conducted here in Congress was flawed in the single-bullet theory,” she said. “I believe that there were two shooters.”
In addition to the JFK case, the task force will also declassify records on Jeffrey Epstein’s client list, the origin of COVID-19, the September 11, 2001, attacks, and unidentified aerial phenomena. Luna highlighted the significance of the efforts to restore public trust through transparency.
The effort has received bipartisan support, with officials citing the need for accountability and transparency on these long-standing issues. ]
