NEW DELHI (Diya TV) — Raihan Vadra, the son of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and businessman Robert Vadra, has gotten engaged to his long-time partner, Delhi-based photographer and designer Aviva Baig. The couple has been together for seven years, and their engagement marks a personal milestone for two young creatives who have built independent careers away from politics.

According to people familiar with the development, the proposal took place earlier this week in the presence of both families. Aviva accepted the proposal, and the families have given their consent. A larger engagement celebration is expected to be held at Ranthambore in Rajasthan in the coming days. A wedding is likely in the coming months.

Raihan Vadra proposed to Aviva Baig during a private ceremony attended by close family members. Both families are based in Delhi and are known to share a warm relationship. Reports said the engagement was kept low-key, reflecting the couple’s preference for privacy. Aviva recently shared a photograph with Raihan on her Instagram stories. She later saved the image in her highlights, sparking interest and speculation among followers. The engagement was later confirmed by media reports.

Aviva Baig is a photographer and the co-founder of Atelier 11, a photography studio and production company. The studio works with agencies, brands, and clients across India. Her work often focuses on everyday life and social themes.

She studied journalism and communication at OP Jindal Global University. She completed her schooling in the humanities at Modern School in Delhi. Over the years, her work has featured on several notable platforms. These include “You Cannot Miss This” with Method Gallery and the India Art Fair Young Collector Program in 2023. Her work has also appeared at “The Illusory World” at The Quorum Club in 2019 and India Design ID in 2018.

Aviva also works as an interior designer, following in her mother’s footsteps. Her Instagram bio highlights her interest in photography, production, and design. She has said her work focuses on social issues and aims to create positive change. She is also reported to be a former national-level football player. Her family is well-established in Delhi. Her father, Imran Baig, is a businessman. Her mother, Nandita Baig, works as an interior designer.

Raihan Vadra, 25, has chosen a path rooted in visual art and photography. He began documenting life through photography at the age of 10. His work spans wildlife, street, and commercial photography, according to his bio on the APRE Art House website.

In 2017, during his final year of school, Raihan suffered a serious eye injury while playing cricket. The accident led to vision loss in his left eye. He stepped away from photography for nearly two years as he adjusted to the change. He later enrolled at the School of Oriental and African Studies, where he studied politics. During this period, he gradually returned to photography. He took up assignments and developed a new visual approach shaped by his experience.

Raihan held his first solo exhibition, “Dark Perception,” in 2021 at Bikaner House in New Delhi. The show explored ideas of perception, darkness, and creative freedom. It drew directly from his experience of partial vision loss.

Later, he presented “Anumana” and “Upamana.” These works examined ideas of comparison through installations, sound, light, and visual art. The projects form part of a planned series based on the five pramanas, or schools of logic, in Indian philosophy. In 2021, Raihan also took part in The India Story exhibition in Kolkata, further establishing his presence in the contemporary art space.
