ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (Diya TV) — Pakistan will receive dozens of China’s advanced J-31 and J-35 stealth fighter jets in two years in an effort that will boost its air power significantly. The deal, which will be over 24 months, will help increase the power of the Pakistan Air Force, with some analysts saying it could move Pakistan seven to eight years ahead of India’s Air Force.
The J-31 also referred to as the “Falcon Eagle,” and the J-35 are next-generation stealth fighters that could compete with Western counterparts like America’s F-35. Experts point out tthat hese jets will highly enhance Pakistan’s capabilities in the areas of evading radar detection, maneuvering, and in general combat effectiveness.
Sources close to the negotiations said that the J-31 and J-35 jets would be equipped with the latest avionics and armaments, including advanced radar and precision-guided munitions. This acquisition is viewed as a strategic move by Pakistan to balance the growing strength of its regional rival, India, which has made significant strides in modernizing its fleet with advanced aircraft like the French-made Rafale.
Currently, the Pakistan Air Force operates a mix of older F-16s and Chinese-made J-10s. Stealth fighters would bring a critical technological jump. Analysts predict that J-31 and J-35 will not only improve Pakistan’s defense capabilities but also become a symbolic marker of its growing military cooperation with China.
So the news has stirred reactions across this region, mainly because India and Pakistan continue their military technology reinforcements as geopolitical tension prevails on both sides.
