NEW DELHI (Diya TV) — Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with members of various Indian delegations who represented the country in different parts of the world, commending their efforts in championing India’s message of peace and its firm stand against terrorism.
At an official gathering held at his residence in New Delhi on Tuesday, the Prime Minister praised the delegates for effectively articulating India’s global vision during international engagements. These delegations, comprising diplomats, envoys, and government representatives, recently participated in global summits, bilateral meetings, and multilateral forums, promoting India’s foreign policy goals and strategic interests.
In a statement following the meeting, Modi emphasized the importance of India’s voice on international platforms. “Met members of the various delegations who represented India in different countries and elaborated on India’s commitment to peace and the need to eradicate the menace of terrorism,” the Prime Minister wrote in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter. “We are all proud of how they put forward India’s voice,” he added.
India’s foreign policy in recent years has centered on promoting global peace and stability, while taking a firm stance against cross-border terrorism. The Prime Minister has consistently underscored the need for international cooperation to tackle terrorism, which he has described as a threat not only to India but to global security.
The Prime Minister’s interaction with these delegations comes at a time when India is expanding its diplomatic influence and economic partnerships across Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas. From participation in the G20 and BRICS summits to engagements with the United Nations and regional groupings, Indian representatives have increasingly taken on the role of peace advocates, climate change negotiators, and champions of global South cooperation.
During the closed-door meeting, which was attended by senior officials from the Ministry of External Affairs and other departments, Modi acknowledged the strategic importance of India’s diplomatic outreach. According to government officials present at the event, the Prime Minister urged the delegates to continue representing India’s core values — peace, development, democracy, and diversity — in their interactions abroad.
“India’s rising stature on the global stage is reflected in the way our representatives are being heard and respected worldwide,” one senior official told The Hindu, speaking on condition of anonymity. “The Prime Minister’s message was clear — we must continue to be bold, proactive, and consistent in our engagements.”
The meeting also served as a platform for exchanging insights gained during their international assignments. Delegates shared experiences from their postings, highlighting how India’s development initiatives, tech innovation, and inclusive growth models are gaining appreciation among global partners.
In line with his broader diplomatic vision, Modi stressed the need for India to be a force for good in a rapidly changing geopolitical landscape. He reiterated his belief that dialogue, mutual respect, and coordinated global efforts are essential for achieving sustainable peace and combating terrorism.
