SANTA CLARA, Calif. (Diya TV) — A violent religious mob set fire to a Hindu temple in Pakistan’s Kyber Paktunkhwa region and attempted to tear it down. Islamic clerics reportedly led the attack. No one was inside the temple at the time. Authorities say locals incorrectly believed a small property being built next to the temple was an unauthorized expansion of the shrine. It was first built in 1919 and recently refurbished. It’s the second time the temple has been demolished by Muslim extremists.
An independent investigation found credible evidence that the late Indian American Christian faith leader Ravi Zacharias engaged in sexual misconduct over many years, revelations confirmed by his estate. Since Zacharias passed away in May of last year, several scandals have been brought to light, leading media outlets to drop programming from the Zacharias media ministry.
Aisha Shah is the latest South Asian joining President-Elect Joe Biden’s team. Shah will be part of the 12 person team running the digital operations at the White House. Born in Kashmir and raised in Louisiana, Shah served as the digital partnerships manager in the Biden-Harris campaign.
