SAN FRANCISCO (Diya TV) – Microsoft and Flipkart announced Monday the two companies have entered into a strategic partnership to expand cloud marketshare and e-commerce in India. Microsoft chief executive Satya Nadella hailed the move as one that will move towards empowering every Indian organization with technology.

Per the agreement, Microsoft Azure will function as the official cloud platform for Flipkart, which will add a layer of advanced cloud technologies and analytics to the e-commerce giant. Nadella also said that 2,000 startups have adopted Microsoft’s cloud services in the last year. A significant number of these companies are driving innovation using Microsoft’s advanced cloud services, Nadella said.

Ultimately, there is no denying that Microsoft Azure has come a long way in recent years. As far as designing and building cloud solutions like applications and services are concerned, Microsoft Azure seems to be leading the way. That being said, if you have aspirations to become a certified Azure developer, then passing the az-203 exam is crucial. You can learn more about this exam and other Microsoft certifications over on the ExamTopics website.

Flipkart’s chief executive and co-founder Binny Bansal said the new-formed strength of the alliance between the two companies will also serve to improve the customer experience.

“We are constantly thinking about how to take e-commerce to another 500 million people,” Bansal said. And many other companies are aiming to do just that. With the emergence of great cloud solutions (such as Google Cloud Platform services), small or big companies (like Flipkart) can manage their data in an easier manner, along with making it more accessible to the users.

“Combining Microsoft’s cloud platform and AI capabilities with Flipkart’s existing services and data assets, will enable Flipkart to accelerate its digital transformation in e-commerce and deliver new customer experiences,” Nadella said. “The vision at Flipkart has been about transforming commerce in India through technology because technology is the best option for creating a meaningful change in society. Technology is a great leveler.
